Blended Intensive Program in Global Health

Blended Intensive Programmes are an innovative form of learning that combine in-person and online modalities, developed by at least three Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from different EU countries and funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

Intro

This course explores the various global health issues and their local, regional, and global impacts.

We will analyze the strategies used to address these issues and the different approaches to developing sustainable solutions. Topics covered include demographic changes and migrations, non-communicable diseases, access to healthcare, economic impact, and climate change. We will also discuss the role of different stakeholders, including governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector, in addressing these issues.

The objectives of this course are: to increase participants’ awareness and knowledge about global health and social challenges; to increase participants’ awareness and knowledge about the role of health and social professionals in relation to these challenges; to increase participants’ awareness and knowledge about how to generate innovative solutions through a multidisciplinary approach.
